Written by Tim Kazurinsky and Denise DeClure, based on David Mamet`s play Sexual Peversity in Chicago, Directed by Edward Zwick Starring:Rob Lowe, Demi Moore, Jim Belushi, Elizabeth Perkins |
Our heroes are a couple of twenty-something rowdy sales reps for a restauraunt supply firm in Chicago, who meet a couple of young ladies while playing in their saturday softball league. Rob and Demi are attracted to each other, but despite knowing each other quite well at Georgetown in a previous incarnation, proceed slowly. Jim and Liz, a slob and a feminist respectively, loathe each other.
The romance begins to bloom for our new couple, but each one gets a great deal of unwanted and militant advice from his best friend. They move in together and all goes well for a time, but it becomes too crowded in the house, literally and figuratively, and they break up.
Rob and Jim are randy and rowdy again, while Demi and Liz resume their former frolics in singles bars, with all four denying any real need for the opposite sex. But no one`s really happy.
A lonely Rob devotes his energy to the renovation of a bankrupt restauraunt, with Jim`s help, fulfilling a longtime dream. The foursome meets once again at the softball field, and, after a little time for thought, our lovebirds realize that they miss each other deeply. Even total opposites Jim and Liz come to feel animal passion for each other and get together. Everyone`s happy in the end.
