Lyndyll to Smelter

From Lyndyll, where a spur from the Intermountain Coal Plant trails in from the west at MP 664.2, the Sharp subdivision to Provo departs to the east-northeast at MP 665.7, and there is an 8,804 ft. siding (MP 665.7-MP 667.5), the line heads north-northeast, with speed limit 70 mph, past Adams and the 6,797 ft. siding at Champlin (MP 674.8-MP 676.2), turning northeast to Dyer, north-northeast and then east-northeast to a detector at MP 682.2, where the speed limit is 55 mph, and just west of north past Jericho, north-northeast past the 9,709 ft. siding at Jericho (MP 684.1-MP 686.1), just east of north and then northeast past  the 6,036 ft. siding at McIntyre (MP 691.3-MP 692.6), where the speed limit is 70 mph again, north past a former flat crossing with an erstwhile D&RGW line between Silver City and Tintic Mills to the 5,964 ft. siding at Tintic (MP 697.4-MP 698.7), where there was once a flat crossing (at Tintic Junction) with an erstwhile line between Ironton and Silver City Junction (in the Eureka Mining District), and the line turns northwest.

The line turns west and then north-northwest, past a detector at MP 703.3, a former flat crossing with the erstwhile line between Ironton and Lehi Junction (north of Geneva), and the 8,855 ft. siding at Boulter (MP 703.9-MP 705.7), curving northwest, north, west-northwest, north past the 6,717 ft. siding at Lofgreen (MP 709.9-MP 711.3), where the speed limit is 50 mph, north-northwest, west, north, north-northwest to Dunbar, north-northeast and then north past the 6,013 ft. siding at Pehrson (MP 716.4-MP 717.7), where the speed limit is 70 mph again, and a detector at MP 718.5, curvily northwest, north-northeast past the 8,805 ft. siding at Faust (MP 722.1-MP 723.9), north past Ajax, a detector at MP 729.7, and a spur at Clover (MP 732.8) into a part of the Tooele Army Depot on the east side, and north-northeast at the 6,009 ft. siding at St. John (MP 735.6-MP 736.9), where a line once headed east to Ophir from a wye on the east side.

There is a curve northeast and then north-northeast again, the 6,410 ft. siding at Stockton (MP 742.5-MP 743.8), where the speed limit is 40 mph, Buehl, the 9,722 ft. siding at Warner (MP 746.4-MP 748.4), where the speed limit is 70 mph again, there is a wye on the west side to line into a different part of the Tooele Army Depot on the west side (also accessed by a former WP line south from Burmester) and there was once a wye on the east side with the Tooele Valley Railroad. The line turns northeast past a detector at MP 751.0 and Shields, curves just west of north past the 5,985 ft. siding at Erda (MP 755.6-MP 756.9), where the speed limit is 55 mph, northeast and then north past Morris, and makes a big curve to the east-northeast, on the south side of the ex-WP line from Oakland trailing in from the west, past the 6,012 ft. siding at Lake Point (MP 753.9-MP 765.2), where the speed limit is 70 mph again and there was once a connection into the Garfield Smelter and Refinery, and then turns east to the crossovers (with the former WP) at Smelter (MP 766.4), where the speed limit is 79-70, to form Two Main Tracks, CTC.
