Iron Mountain Junction to Grand Avenue

The location that is Iron Mountain Junction on the UP is known as Tower grove (MP 2.6) on the BNSF, former Frisco, line. At this point, that line is 2MT, Yard Limits, with a 10 mph speed limit, heading northeast past signals, a road bridge overhead at Vanderveeter Avenue, and an immediately adjacent road bridge overhead (the streets intersect just north of the line) at Tower Grove Avenue, and Chouteau Yard (MP 2.4), on the southeast side of the line, with the UP's Kansas City line alongside to the northwest. Both lines turn east-southeast, passing beneath road bridges at Chouteau Avenue and Spring Avenue, to reach the tracks owned and operated by the Terminal Railroad Association of St. Louis (TRRA) at Grand Avenue ( (CP 0802, MP 2.1), where the former Wabash route now occupied by the St. Louis Metrolink Light Rail Line is alongside to the north.
