If anyone wants to experiment with mantras, try other columns found in the link further below.  Link is found at bottom of this page, but first read this page completely if at all possible.  Once you find your mantra, the above Mantras should be fine for a start, then go to the link called  TM Checking Notes and Steps to Initiation.  Then once inside go to the link  Steps to Initiation.   Read all the material inside first.  Then if you are like most people, read it again, and start the procedure as you read along.

One thing that is not told is that the meditator should have a quiet room to begin the practice.  They should sit in a comfy chair, and sit where no drafts of cold, or hot air can pass over them, nor any draft at all.  The room should be only dimly lighted.   We wish to be sitting in a place with no distractions, or bodily discomforts.  If one has children, or babies, then one suggestion:  hire a baby sitter.  If someone is distracting us,  and they are family, then while trying to meditate find someplace else where one can not be distracted.  Don’t force ourselves upon others so we can meditate in peace, instead, peacefully find a place where we can meditate.  One can politely ask others so our environment has no distractions, but if one finds it does not bring results, then become an  explorer who finds a retreat.    Greater persecutions than the small problems briefly told previously have been part of human history.  The USA was founded by many Protestants who came to America so they might worship in peace.  Certainly no one will have to become like an early pilgrim in America just so they can meditate: we should be at peace with our surroundings before we ever begin to meditate.

During the time where one initiates their self into TM by reading, and then following the procedures offered over the Internet, it is good to obtain some fresh fruit, and all the other ritualistic paraphernalia as told therein, as various good angelic like spirits are able to use the gas like emissions that most people cannot see, but can only smell, for it provides a vehicle for them to interact with the one being initiated. Only the first time using all of the articles mentioned in the link below would be good enough. Thereafter no further use of any of the items are required, simply use the mantra.  Beyond those articles, also having the Bible, and Koran, and the Vedas nearby also helps attract people such as Jesus, who was a Guru.  Guru is an Hindu word that may be compared to in English like one who is a Rabbi, or a Spiritual Master, or spiritual teacher.  Those books, and the articles attract other Gurus as well, so that whoever you have had a past karmic tie with as a teacher, may come to benefit you.

Obtaining all the help that is possible is always a good avenue to go down the first time. By beginning with the full initiation procedure you show an attitude of sincerity, which is not missed by those watching on the inner worlds.  If you are in too big of a rush, and begin to try a mantra without doing all of the above, then someday later, ask when alone, with a sincere request for forgiveness for the help of a Guru on the invisible worlds, that you may begin again, and then do all of the above.  I believe that no one should just rush into using a mantra.

Do not consider any of this like you are worshipping angels, or other Gods, rather, consider yourself being grateful, like when you enter a person’s home, who has invited you to be a guest for the evening, where you might bring in exchange a bottle of good wine, or a pastry, or something to show your appreciation.  Simply a form of hospitality is all that is going on when you do the ritual as explained in that link.  Yes, unexplained it looks like you are now a member of a bizarre cult, being brainwashed, but now that you see what is going on, then if anyone considers it bizarre, then we know who are the bizarre.

You should be respectful, doing all that is explained in that link, for you are hoping to return back to your spiritual home, your true home that can only be yours forever after you are perfected, becoming like an angel.  In the past and right now you are in a physical body, and possibly many life times to come you will be reborn in a physical body trying to perfect yourself, until you are like the angels, and need not return to earth again.  TM will help you accelerate that process so less time is spent on earth.  Even while on earth TM can make your life more rewarding, and make your time while here more pleasant.

I recommend that a person learns to meditate for at least two years, and also attend group meditations, or retreats where they meditate for several hours, over several days.   After that stop, and then try the techniques found in the Rosicrucian Fellowship.

That is a recommendation.  No one need do what I suggest.  It is simply a good guideline, but since we are all different, then some people should expect this may not be what is best for them.  How will those type of people know, well they will simply have to find out on their own.

Again, all of what is said here is merely a suggestion.   After all, less than three hundred years after my death when called Peter, most of what was written down as a Holy Commandment, which I heard from the Holy Spirit, was mothballed, and changed to another idea lasting 1700 years.  SO, why not start doing what ever you please right now, that is why what is told here, even this entire web site is only a suggestion.

I believe that due to past lives of developing soul qualities, that due to meditation those soul powers can be tapped into, so that we feel elated.  The more one has been like an angel in the past, the higher in God like awareness will be their experiences while meditating.  Also, meditation is told to synchronize the mind, and body so that it enters various states of higher awareness, even if one has not done previous soul growth.  The point is, is that one should begin to do selfless service for others, so that in this life they may develop soul growth.   If a person seems not to be acquiring anything much from TM, then maybe they need in this life to be more of a servant.  That means if one is selfish, but they want to return to their true home, then try to selfishly return home, by being selfless here on earth.

All forms of meditation are so we have a new point of view on life, including, for some being healed, so that we can then begin to properly do deeds, so that we gain soul growth.  Sitting and doing TM, or any meditation is self defeating if that is all one will do.  That is, if one has not learned how to leave their body, and do errands of  rescuing souls while only from the inner worlds.  After all, God did not put us into a physical body, so we simply sat and meditated.  The world is full of activity, and so we must also be active.   We must combine both worlds, like uniting the east with the west.  Then we will evolve more quickly, and be able to return to our true home.

Those who are Muslims, are doing a type of meditation technique that relies on coordinating various times of the day when angelic currents circle the earth, with the time of a raka’ah, see explanation below,  or prostrations are performed.  I have been instructed to do only one raka’ah prostration a day, but that is only for myself.   We are all different.  I started out doing all five, but later by various suggestions from the inner worlds, I was shown to do only one. I suggest everyone do the regular raka’ah performed by Muslims, like they do, five times a day for a while, and see how that benefits a person.  If TM does not do much, maybe that  will.  There are all kinds of various methods out there that might benefit a person,  so I will leave open what else anyone wishes to do, for them to do.  Again, this is all merely a suggestion.

The word rakaʿah (  Arabic:  ركعة, pl. ركعات rakaʿāt) refers to one unit of Islamic prayer, or Salah. Each daily prayer is made up of a different number of raka'at:
Fair  — The dawn prayer: 2 raka'at
Dhuhr  — The noon prayer: 4 raka'at
Asr  — The afternoon prayer: 4 raka'at
Maghrib  — The sunset prayer: 3 raka'at
Isha’a  — The night prayer: 4 raka'at
The Friday prayer  consists of 2 raka'at and is prayed in place of the Dhuhr prayer on Friday.

While a person is doing the above, and hoping to also experience some spiritual superpowers, but after many years of hard effort they find no super ability has been granted them, such as the superpower  to pass through solid walls, or fly effortlessly nearly anywhere they please, or listen in on “secret conversations” from friends, or enemies far away, then here is one method where almost anyone can suddenly become a type of  Superman, or Superwoman.

That method is simply called “Shamanic drumming,” and a program on how to practice it can be found on the internet; also include the search word Harner.   If they ever begin to charge an outrageous price for their services, like has TM, then personal instruction by that group should be avoided.

Back to meditation. Go to the following link below, where will be found more on mantras, and techniques.   The part to enter so one can learn to meditate on their own, cost free, will be found almost exactly in the middle of the document, so slide the slide bar down to middle of page, and find:  TM Checking Notes and Steps to Initiation

Once inside go to:  Steps to Initiation.

If you start at the beginning of the link below, rather than going to the middle of the page, and entering as told above, you will read a disclaimer, where comments are made that the mantras listed therein are not to be used for meditation.  He says the mantras, and other ideas on meditation are shown for research purposes only.  I believe he is legally trying to sidestep the possibility of being sued by TM, or for giving something that might be construed as medical advice, or psychological counseling.

If we understand what was said above, about the use of mantras are not something to rush into, we may begin to understand his disclaimer beyond being mere legalism.  If it is legalism.  He never mentions what was told in my website.   So it is correct not to use the mantras for meditation, or mental practice all alone, but one can do so after one is properly instructed in their first initiation. All that is taught here in my website allows one to be initiated so that the mantras can be used because you will know what is the purpose for all the steps, and that they should employ most of them all.  It is not necessary to have a poster of Guru Dev.  A poster, or small picture of Jesus would do fine.

The bottom line is that although the guy criticizes TM, still he stayed with it long enough to obtain all that he knows, so we must conclude that for a few years he benefited from TM.  His actions for TM, or his fruit, speaks louder than his few abusive words against TM.  He should have given the reason why he eventually became disillusioned, if that really happened.  Maybe he is another Max Heindel, or Yoganada, those who tell lies, but in a convoluted manner, where they tell the truth that they are telling some lies.
