The "Baja" Dolphin Dive Center is a PADI facility located in the heart of the town of Loreto Baja California. It is on 'Benito Juarez' just 1/2 block from the marina. Loreto's waters are dotted with five dramatic looking islands which are part of the marine park. This great 1000 mile long Sea that hugs the peninsula is refuge to a diversity of marine life. The diving consists of rocky bottoms, walls, undercuts, overhangs, sprawling reef systems and a wreck site. Water temperatures range from 84+ degrees in the summer & fall and gets cooler in the winter months.
It's not uncommon to jump into the open blue to snorkel with passing whales while on your way out to the dive site. The SEA OF CORTEZ has long been known for its schools of Dolphins, Whale pods and chance meetings with the giant Manta Rays, Hammerhead Sharks and seasonal Whale Sharks. It is home to over 800 species of fish unique only to the Sea of Cortez, not to mention Green Sea Turtles & playful Sealions.
Dive are made from Mexican panga boats with a 2-tank dive which includes lunch & drinks. A rinse tank for gear & camera equipment as well as an euipment storage area is located at the dive shop.
