Dolby Fans
Since Dolby died in June so many friends and family have asked for photos of Dolby.  We realized Dolby was an incredibly special cat and friend to us but we weren't quite prepared for the support and feedback we got.  Dolby obviously touched many others throughout his long life.

Dolby would have liked that his photos were available to everyone.  He's probably saying "it's about time".  Feel free to use them respectfully in his honor.  We'll add more when we get some of the earliest photos of him transferred to digital.  Remember, he's been around since 1985!

Was Dolby really a cat?
Dolby was a healer of sorts.  A leader or mentor to all who have passed through our lives.  From our days as volunteers for the Marina Animal Sanctuary in Los Angeles to our move in 2000 to 3 1/2 acres in Placerville Dolby has accepted, tolerated or embraced every animal and human that has entered our home. Human visitors who were obviously not "cat people" have left insisting they were going to go adopt a cat. Preferably a "Dolby".   We knew neighbors solely because of their affection for Dolby and his impact on their lives in ways we never personally observed.  He has even inspired an author to write a children's book about him.

Chronic Renal Failure (CRV)
Dolby suffered from CRV for about the last 3 years of his life.  He willingly let us treat him with I.V. fluids and oral mediction for the last two years. It was worth every extra minute we had with him. His quality of life was very high up until his very last two days.  If your cat has trouble keeping down his food and is chronically thirsty  these websites and your vet might help.
