Kodi, my 7 year old and 5 year old Keeshonds (or Keeshonden, if you prefer).

Keeshond: The Most Intelligent Breed of Dog
in the World!
(or so they
think).
"Oh,
I've Seen One of Those Dogs Before; Tell Me About it." All right, since you insist. The Keeshond is a member of the Spitz breed along with the Siberian Husky, Alaskan Malamute, Chow Chow, Norwegian Elkhound, German Wolfsspitz and, its direct ancestor, the Samoyed. Since early times, most barges, farms and carts have had a canine sentry, usually a Keeshond or whatever name he was given in the various countries. Many people call them "Keesh Hounds" but since they are proud creatures, I'm sure they prefer to hear their breed name, Keeshond pronounced correctly.
"Aren't
You Going to Tell Us About Your Dogs" Before I tell you about them, I can't forget to give Shep his 15 minutes of fame. Shep was our first Keeshond. We had Shep for 12 years, finally losing him to Cushing's Disease in 1991. Then along came Spanky. See and hear more about him on Spanky's page.
