Welcome to my 1939 Dodge web site!

My name is Dan, and I am the proud owner of a 1939 Dodge model D 11 Deluxe Luxury Liner.  I acquired my Dodge a few years ago.  It had been in storage in a small garage untouched for almost 20 years.  The Dodge had two previous owners, and showed only 64,000 miles on the odometer.  The car was in incredible shape, having no rust and no body damage.  No parts were missing, the only real damage was to the interior, as it had been a mouse hotel for many years as it sat in storage.  The interior damage was actually quite limited as well, only a few holes here and there, but they had gotten into the radiator as the car was stored with the radiator cap off and the radiator hoses off as well.  The engine was seized and three of the four wheels were frozen, but even so, the car was in great condition for it's age, a virtual time capsule.  The original owner's manual was still with the car, as well as the original warranty papers, warranty card, and dealer brochure.

I have been slowly but surely bringing the car back to life and out of it's hibernation.  You can read about my efforts and challenges in my restoration blog.  After two years of work I finally had the car road worthy and began taking it to local shows in the 2009 season.  I actually brought home two trophies in that first year of showing it, and I have been driving and showing it ever since.  I have been extremely fortunate to have found lots of great help and assistance along the way, mainly from the wonderful folks on the AACA Dodge & Dodge Brothers Forum.  If it were not for the help that I have received there, my Dodge would not be in the condition I have it in now.

I have been able to collect some other great resources in my endeavor, and I am happy to share them all with you on my links page in the hope that they may be of use to you as well.

Look for some new pics in the photo album this coming year, as I hope to make it to some car shows soon.  If you have any advice you'd like to share, or should need some help for your own restoration project, please do contact me.
