This method allows persons worldwide to pay their membership fees without having to go to a bank to get a US Dollar check, and thereby avoiding bank fees and mailing expenses. This is an especially convenient way for non-US persons to join the Washington Map Society and also renew their membership. All you need is a credit card and access to e-mail. You charge your card in US dollars, which is how the Society receives funds, and the charge later shows up on your statement in your local currency.

1. Go to the Internet URL www.PayPal.com
2. Click on "Send Money"
3. In the send money "to" block enter: washmap@earthlink.net
4. Under "Amount" enter the amount you want charged to your credit card:

	1 year	2 years	3 years
International except Canada:	$56	$110	$162
Canada:	$42	$82	$120

5. Under "Currency" enter 'U.S. Dollars.'
6. Under 'Type" enter 'service.'
7. Click on "continue"
8. Complete the account information.
9. Under "Subject:" enter WMS Dues-NEW MEMBER (or RENEWAL)-<your last name> (enter YOUR last name, not "your last name")
10. Under "Note:" enter your name, address, home and work telephone number, and email address. Place brackets, i.e. [ ], around items you do not want published in the WMS Membership Directory. This allows us to account correctly for your money transfer and to log you into our Washington Map Society records. The information provided under "Note:" is that provided when using the form that you normally would have sent with your payment.

You will receive email confirmation from PayPal when your payment is transmitted to the Washington Map Society.
