Abhinavagupta - the Philosopher - main exponent Kashmir Shaivism (975-1025 AD).
Anandamayi Ma - (Book) A great women teacher from Bengal, Chronicled in Autobiography of Yogi by Yogananda.

Bhagawan Nityananda - Great Teacher of Swami Muktananda (1961)

Ekanath Maharaj - Eknath - Great Teacher and poet of maharashtra, India(1528-1609).

Guru Gobind Singh - Sikh 10th Guru (17th century)
Guru Nanak - Great teacher and poet, Founder of Sikhism(1469-1538).

Janabai - A maid who achieved the Highest State while grinding wheat, a student of Namadev.
Jnaneshwar MaharajJnanadeva - Great teacher and poet at the age of 16 wrote Beautiful commentary on the Bhagavad Gita (1275-1296).

Kabir Mystic Philosopher - Kabir - (Book) Great Teacher and poet, a weaver from Benares (1440-1518).

Milarepa - (Book) Great teacher of Tibet's Mahayana Buddhism.
Mira Bai Rajput Princess - (Book) 16th Century woman poet and Queen (1433-1468).
Muktabai - Great Being and poet, sister of Jnaneshwar.

Namadev - 13th Century Poet, a tailor and contemporary of Jnaneshwar.
Narada - A Great Being, musician and author of the Bhakti Sutra.

Rabi'a Basri - A Great Sufi Woman, sold into slavery and still achieved the highest state (717-801).
Raidas(1398-1448) dates uncertain.  Said to be guru of Mirabai.

Sakhubai - A great woman, full of love and devotion for great souls.
Shirdi Sai Baba - (Book) Great  Teacher from Shirdi, India (1838-1918).
Siddhartha  Gautama (Buddha) - (Book) Born as prince in India and became great beloved teacher, Buddhism formed around him (566-486 B.C.).
Sri Ramakrishna - (Book) Teacher of Swami Vivekananda, from Bengal.
Sri Sarada Devi - (Book) Great Being and wife of Sri Ramakrshna.
Swami Chidvilasananda(Gurumayi) Student of Swami Muktananda.
Swami Muktananada - The 3rd of Prominent Yogis to come to the West,  came from Ganeshpuri, India (1908-1982)
Swami Paramahansa Yogananda - The 2nd of Great Yogis to come to the West, came from Bengal, India (1893-1952)
Swami Vivekananda - The 1st of Great Yogis to come to the West, Native of Bengal, India.  Speech given to World's Parliament of Religions Chicago, (11th September 1893).

Tukaram Maharaj - Poet from Maharashtra (1608-1650).
Tulasidasa - Poet, Philosopher from North India  (1532-1623).

Valmiki - (approx. 4th century B.C.)
Vyasa - (approx. 4th century B.C.)
