Thuds and more Thuds!
Here are some oldies. The F105 G was built in 1982 or 1983 and the F105 D in 1983 or 1984 by cutting up an F105F kit!
I don't know just when the Silver F model was done.
As old as these are, they still photograph pretty well.
These were all built before the advent of Resin seats, cockpits and other accessories so some details are a bit crude
by todays standards..

The F-105 G represents serial
number 638316 of the 128th
Tactical Fighter Sqdn.
Georgia ANG.

The radome has been opened
a scratchbuilt radar has been
added.

The model represents F-105 D-5-Re58-1172
of the 357th TFS, 355th TFW stationed in
Da Nang 1968
The F-105 D was built by cutting
the rear seat out of an F-105 f kit.
The vertical stabilizer has been
shortened and narrowed.

Both the D an G models have dropped flaps
and re positioned ailerons.
Clearance lights are red and green clear
plastic bits.
Landing light lenses are MV lenses.

Cockpits in both models heve been
re-worked. Seats have had parachute
packs removed, harnesses added,
hoses and actuators added.
THERE ARE NO RESIN PARTS HERE!

The Silver F-105 F was modified
a bit but is not as extensively modified
as the other two models.

This is a Hasegawa 1:48 Scale P-51

The kit is built with some after market resin parts, mainly in the cockpit.

Decals are Aeromaster's and represent Chuck Yeager's Glamorous Glen III.
The finish is a combination of SNJ and Alclad 2 with Testors Model Master for the painted areas.

This is my 1:32 scale Tamiya F-14 Tomcat.
The model has been extensively re-scribed to correct the panel line layout and eliminate the raised panel lines on most
of the airplane.
The model is painted with Testors Model Master paint and weathered with Artist Oils.
The decals are Super Scale.
The Airplane is moderately weathered by applying a wash of paines gray Oils and airbrushing various shades of the base
gray to individual panels

The Bare metal areas are Bare Metal Foil Brushed aluminum.
Stores are : four Phoenix, two Sidewinders and two Sparrows. The Sidewinders have MV lenses in their noses to represent
the seekers.

The kit cockpit has been replaced with a Teknics resin item, a big improvement over the tamiya parts. The Seats are Teknics
as well.

All the clearance lights are made up from tinted red and green styrene.
Landing light and indicator lights are MV lenses.
The TV camera has been added under the nose as an update. It has an MV lens instaled in it and tinted to represent the
camera lens.
