Hand-painted prototype of bat Optimus Primal. There are several overall color differences between this piece and the production piece: On the proto, the dark blue is darker and the light blue is duller than the production bat-Primal. Additionally, there is one detail difference in the paint scheme. (see below)

The prototype bat-Primal (left) has a red paint coat around the entire wrist which fades out toward the elbow. The production piece has a red painted area defined by the plastic sculpting. I think I like the red paint on the protoype better, but I like the overall blue color scheme of the production piece better.

One additional difference involves the spring mechanism near the bat butt. The production piece (right) has an additional bar across the spring; it does not surprise me that someone might have been worried that the spring would pop out.
