Prototype of the Predacon Arachnid Micro Playset from Kenner. It is done in production colors but unpainted. Unfortunately, it did not come with any of the little vehicles or figures and is just the spider body.

Prototype of the Maximal Orcanoch Micro Playset from Kenner. It is done in production colors but unpainted. All of the small vehicles are tucked away in the killer whale's body. This playset, strangely enough, also came with two Cybershark missiles, which do not fit in the Playset the way the production missiles were designed to do. The playset also came with one figure, which looks like nothing in the production piece. The figure is 1-1/8 inch tall and has a Maximal insignia carved on its chest (which, due to the green transparent plastic, I could not photograph). The figures were referred to, by Hasbro employees, as Sparks. This Spark, while undoubtedly designed to go with this playset is completely different from the ones that came with the production piece. It has no resemblance to any Maximal or Predacon the way the final figures did. So, somewhere along the way, someone scrapped this idea and replaced the figures with more identifiable ones.
