Diaclone red Skids and assorted Diaclone accessories.
What is Diaclone? Before Tranformers were released in 1984 under the
Hasbro name, Takara released in the US a line of transforming vehicles
called "Diaclone" or "Diakron." Looking at Transformers box artwork and
catalogs, some of the Diaclones are obvious. Most famous of these is the
blue Bluestreak which does not exist in Transformers packaging. On the
1985 box artwork, you can see a red Tracks. In addition to the ones mentioned
above, the Diaclone line also featured, a red Sunstreaker, black Ironhide,
Dinobots, triplechangers, and a host of others. Many of the Diaclones,
after paintjobs, became members of the Transformers line, but not all of
them did.
In the accessories lot above, there are some early Diaclone weapons:
grey Blitzwing sword, gold chrome Swoop and Sludge swords, and the sword
belonging to a triplechanger that did not make it to the TF line-up. For
more info about this triplechanger, click here.

Toy Archive.
The small figure is a Diaclone driver. When you realize Transformers
originally came with drivers, it makes more sense: the hatches in the Dinobots
and Insecticons, the 'sunroof' on Tracks, the cockpit in Optimus Prime's
trailer, etc.; they all had drivers originally. The drivers had small magnets
on their feet so they could stick to the die cast metal (it's a lost art!)
bodies. For more info on Diaclone drivers, click here.
