I'm 3

Three, I'm 3! My party on Saturday was very fun. All the grandparents and some friends came over. I got a bus game, a Thomas DVD and book, a toy ATV, and a LeapPad and some other stuff that I don't remember. Now I'm back at school and I'll be having cupcakes tomorrow (today is another friend's birthday).

Riding Tantrums

I just can't seem to shake the tantrums. It's hard when Mom leaves for work in the morning. I like my school, but sometimes I just have a hard time settling in.

I can tell I'll be potty-trained soon. I've been using the potty more at home. It helps when Mom and Dad leave me naked.

Cousins

My cousins are here from Burbank. I like playing with them, but I still have to come to school today and tomorrow. I will see them more this weekend. Mom's been really busy and hasn't been updating my blog. Basically I'm learning how to be a big boy and am doing a little better with the potty. We haven't tried real hard though. My birthday is coming up.

Bet you didn't know this....

Jesus came from behind the rock and people were happy. Jesus likes to ride his tricycle and it was a beautiful thing.

Oh, I also found lots of eggs that Grandpa Roger hid. The Easter Bunny brought me a basket, but Mom didn't let me eat a lot of jelly beans. I tried to eat some anyway.

Back at it!

Hey everyone. I'm back at it and have so much to report. I'm now 2 and a half, which is a big deal. This weekend I start serious potty training, which means I may get to wear my Thomas underwear and be done with pull-ups (at least during the day). Wish me luck, and we'll see how it goes.

I'm working in the yard with Mommy. I have my own flower, and am growing carrots and radishes. Sometimes the squirrels like to dig in them.

Mom says....

Mom says I'll be taking a break from letting you know what's going on. My life is pretty good, especially if I get to climb on things. Mom says maybe I'll be posting again in October.

Hi again!

I took a little break. Being 2 is hard. I had a great birthday party and got to see Elmo. I also saw my cousin Ella last weekend. We had lots of fun running around the house. Today my eye is gooey. Mommy said I had a pink eye but today she is saying I don't. I still need to take medicine.

I'm Funny

I'm starting to get this whole "funny" thing. For example, when I make a funny voice or something like that, I am sure to point out to Mommy and Daddy that "I'm funny." It's not very subtle, but at least I'm getting attention.

My birthday is getting closer. Mommy is telling me more about seeing Elmo. I'm very excited. Today is Bailey's birthday at school, soon it will be me. I hope I get lots of cake. I like cake.

Is this what 2 is gonna be like?

What is going on here?  Today I'm totally happy, singing along, eating food, getting dressed.  Yesterday I was not happy at all.  Mom wouldn't get me kiwi until I stopped crying and asked her right (without crying).  That was hard because I was mad that she wasn't getting me kiwi, and her making me wait was just getting me more mad.  Finally I got her point and did what she wanted.  I was still mad though.  My birthday is coming up soon.  I hope there's a huge cake.  Thanks, Grandma Mary, for teaching me the word "huge".  I think it will come in handy.

Fireworks!

I saw fireworks earlier this week. I didn't know what they were before. I keep asking Mom about them. Can't we have them every day? I don't see why not. Especially if it means I get to stay up late.

My cousin Ella is here with her Mommy, my Aunt Maureen. We saw them last night at Grandma Sonja's. People keep talking to me about all of the connections like who is who's Mommy, and Ella's Daddy is my Daddy's brother, but it's too confusing for me. Can someone just draw me a picture?

I'm Getting Bigger!

Mom says I'm getting bigger, so I get a new look for my blog. Also, I'm not a baby anymore, so it's now MAS blog instead of Baby MAS Blog. Cool! I hope you like it. I'm still waiting for Mom to figure out how to upload pictures, because I have so many things to show you.

The big news lately is my Tuesday night visit to a firehouse while on a walk with Mom and Dad, where I met lots of firefighters, got to see a fire engine up close and wore a fire hat. It was heavy. They gave me a sticker and a stuffed doggie named Engine. They were really nice! Mom says maybe I will swim this weekend.

Daddies

Yesterday was a special day for my daddy, and I gave him a card that I made and some t-shirts that Mom bought. Later that day we went out to breakfast with Grandpa Ed, who is my mommy's daddy. Daddy and Mommy have told me that Grandpa Bill is daddy's daddy and that he's in the sky. His picture is on the refrigerator. I didn't see Grandpa Roger yesterday, but he's probably someone's daddy then too. This is all very complicated for me.

I did it!

My first poop in the potty happened this afternoon at daycare. Jeannie called Mommy to tell her. Everybody kept on giving me hugs. I knew I could do it. It took a while. I'm very excited. Just like Henry in my potty book!

Rough Stuff

There Mom goes again, not posting about my complicated and interesting life. Here's the update you've been waiting for. I'm starting to sing songs and have my favorites: the ABC song, Happy Birthday, Old MacDonald. Numbers are cool. I think I understand the counting concept, at least up to around eleven or twelve. I skip around and leave things out though. I'm working on it.

I don't have my nana anymore and it makes me angry. Mom has explained it all to me but I still am upset. Sometimes I'm okay about it but other times not. Everybody says I am getting so big and that is what makes the milk go bye-bye.

Captain Vegetable

I have a new favorite song on my new Sesame Street CD: Captain Vegetable. He's really funny. Mom and Dad like the song too, so they play it for me a lot. That's fine with me. I'm trying to say "vegetable" but it's a really hard word.

I was not feeling good earlier this week--nothing specific just sleepy and stuffy. I feel better now. I like my new doctor. She gave me an Ernie sticker.

Something fishy....

Cmon, Mom, I have much more to say than one or two posts per month! Dad bought me a new Sesame Street CD last night. I like it! I don't have any favorite songs on it yet, maybe the bird song. I've been hearing talk about a dr's appointment for me. I hope it's not painful.

Sandbox?

They say I'm moving into a new house that has a sandbox. It's very exciting. I get to make piles, dig, move it around. Fantastic! (I actually can't say "fantastic" yet, but I'm thinking about it). Folks are more and more impressed with my words: elephant, caterpillar, edamame, hummus. I'm feeling more comfortable stringing words together. Another birthday party at daycare the other day: Olivia turns 2. Happy Birthday, babe!

Verbs

I've been reminding Mom to post something here for me. She's been busy I guess. Meanwhile, I'm learning lots of stuff: running, jumping, new words ("appetizer" seems to be a big hit), and I'm venturing into verb territory: go, standing, running, carry. This language stuff is pretty interesting and very powerful. I still pull out a good cry when I need to.

No Crud

I'm fighting nose goo. I don't have a fever like the other kids. That's good. I haven't wanted to eat much though.

The other day we had cupcakes for Jane's 2nd birthday. She's blond and has blue eyes, like another Jane I know (but she's older). We also made crowns and glued yarn and feathers onto them. That was fun. I wonder when the next birthday is? I like cupcakes.

Snotty

Now that I've been going to my daycare for a few weeks, it's time to get some snifflies from the kids. It's always the way. My appetite hasn't been great and I have a runny nose--nothing major, and not the flu like in Seattle. I'll be okay.

It was an easier transition when Mom left this morning too. I'm just growing up, I guess. I know she'll come back for me, anyway.
