The nether regions

I am one year older and a very clean machine to start out my 37th year on the planet. Yesterday's colon hydroptherapy session was a very eye-opening experience, teaching me about how my body may be digesting fats, and that I have a couple of blockages in the transverse colon. I can definitely see how stuff hanging out in there can lead to disease in the colon and elsewhere in the body. I feel energized and ready to take on another year.

The day began with a rescheduled dentist appointment, so got the other end clean too. Later a nice salad and blackberry panna cotta at Tower Cafe, a reliable joint with a nice patio. Evening included gifts from the family and cake at Rick's Dessert Diner, another Sacramento establishment with mile-high cakes. Mmmm... cake. We split the Raspberry White Chocolate Champagne cake, and it was delicious.

Brown, but not coffee...

So, on trying to post this, I got a "quota reached" message. This might have me rethinking this endeavor, archiving some of the archives offline, or just asking for/buying more disk space.

One of the themes in our counseling sessions is "percolating," not actively thinking on something, but letting it settle and nestle, responding more with feelings. A gut vs. head activity. This is hard to do for natural managers, moving through objectives. The percolating idea translates to the work day today, and probably to living in general. Thursday is my birthday, and the whole week has been declared in festivity, so maybe I'm taking an "internal leave" to celebrate. An internal rebellion even though I'm putting the time in. It's always a time for reflection anyway, and the lower digestive cleanse is set to go for Thursday. Perhaps a similar mode (the figurative workplace colonic?) is due for 8 to 5.

I definitely feel a difference not eating dairy and going light on the meat (a little fish here and there). Now I just have to remember that it feels good and sustain.
