Debra Lombard
Sustainable Design Research and Consulting

Hello Friends!

I would like to thank you for visiting my Green-Haus website that I've had for the past 18 years. In 1996, me and my friend incorporated Green-Haus with the intent of selling green building products.
After voluntering for the Louisiana "Healthy Home" built by the American Lung Association, I shifted my focus towards providing Sustainable Design Research and Consulting services. I became a LEED accredited Professional in 2004. My goal is to continue assisting clients with achieving sustainable design and energy-efficiency.

I grew up living in Louisiana most of my life, and received my B.S. degree in Civil Engineering from Tulane University in New Orleans. Living in Louisiana gave me the opportunity to see oil refineries and petrochemical plants in person, and to be able to witness first hand their negative effects on the environment, economy and society.

While at Tulane, I had a very innovative architecture teacher, the late Bill Mouton, who I could never thank enough for sparking my interest in innovative building techniques. He taught us to think outside the building. I also have to thank my family who are contractors, architects, engineers and artists, as they encouraged me since I was 5 years old to draw floor plans and pursue my love of math and science.

All of the content on this website is developed from the ideas of many very knowledgeable green building consultants with some of my own ideas mixed in.

Please let me know what you think.
