Humane Trapping

Alley Cat Allies is an expert on the subject of feral cats and any concerns you might have will probably be answered through their website . Please be aware that the majority of shelters in our area, even those that are "low kill" and mainly non-profit will kill feral cats because they are not considered "adoptable". KittyStar Services for Cats is in business to assist with humanely trapping a cat or a colony to transport to a veterinarian for sterilization or necessary medical treatment, not "euthanasia". Because the travel time involved, number of cats, and other factors vary, fees also vary. You may also rent humane traps from KittyStar at a low cost. Diane offers a complimentary 15 minute consultation to help you decide on the best plan of action for your cat colony.  Phone consultations over 15 minutes will be charged at $30 an hour, checks only please.

Your willingness to help the cats and continue to care for the cats is appreciated! If you would like to accomplish trap/neuter/return yourself and finances are an issue, The Feral Cat Spay/Neuter Project may be a resource. The Project is a local non-profit organization offering a free clinic on specific days in Seattle.  If you think a female cat may be pregnant or her last litter is over two months old, please don't delay!

"Diane and I have worked together for a couple of years on companion animal issues both at PAWS and through the Feral Cat Spay Neuter Coalition. Diane not only has a genuine personal love and concern for cats, but she is extremely knowledgeable about their behavior and social needs as well as being very competent in her ability to care for them."

"Diane loves cats so much that she offers a negotiable price on feral cat trapping. I don't know anyone else who is willing to do this. She is an excellent cat trapper and offers the most humane and comforting help to the feral cats. She helped me in a situation when I had no where else to turn. It is a tremendously satisfying feeling to finally get the ferals fixed and re-released. Her advice is invaluable as well."
