1.  CEN-HEAD  Tag
  • Sentence: [P2] is head of household in the [P1G] of [L] <as [M2]> <[M1]>.  Enumerated with <[P2] was> <[WO]>
  • Witness Sentence: The [P1G] listed [W] <in addition to [WO]> in the household of [P2], in [L].
  • On the CEN-HEAD tag, the census person is then entered as P1, and the head of household is entered as P2, with the other people being enumerated being witnesses.
2. CEN-ENUM Tag
  • Sentence: [P2] was enumerated as [M2].  <[M1]>
  • On the CEN-ENUM tag, the census person is then entered as P1, and the person being enumerated is entered as P2, with the head of household being the only witness.
  • The examples assume that the CEN-HEAD tag precedes the CEN-ENUM tag on the person screen.  That puts the Witness statement from the CEN-HEAD tag above the CEN-ENUM tag sentence in the reports. (See examples)
3. Census Person Setup
  • Given name:   1900 Census
  •   Surname:      --    (exclusion markers)
