David Waller Civil War Grave Hunter

Welcome to my Civil War Grave Hunter page.  I have visited over 420 CSA Generals' gravesites and 300 Union Generals'  as well as hundreds of CSA field officers, government officials and other C/W notables.  I am currently locating and photographing CSA officers from the ranks of Capts. - Cols.   I have traveled from New Orleans to New York in search of these men and notables: 25 years worth and hope I have 25 more before I'm done!  I will gladly exchange information, pictures or just discuss this " passion " of mine with you.  The American Civil War was the most important period in our history and the men and women that played parts in it should be remembered.    I have established this site to assist anyone interested in graving.  I will provide directions, helpful hints and all bio information on any CSA General and field officer I can.  I can make your search and journey to these cemeteries easy and safe.  I also have visited and know the location to most American sports, literary, political and lots of other American people of historic note.   Once again, Welcome to my site and please let me assist you with this wonderful hobby and a great way to learn about Civil War History!

I have spoken to over 35 groups on this " passion "  as I call it.  People contact me all the time about helping them locate a general and are amazed ( especially if the live in the South ) how close they may live to the resting place of a CSA general or C/W notable.

I love to speak to history groups, schools and civic groups on " Graving ."  I am surprised and happy to know that there are many people of like interest and love to share information and " adventures " I have  had in a twenty - plus year quest for Civil War Generals and notables.  History can be found in cemeteries and people are always amazed at what they can find.  Sharing this is my biggest reward!

Tombstones are pages of history written in marble or stone.  Cemetery research for ALL USA history is fun, facsinating and 99% of the time, FREE!  Take the time to get out in your area and see if you have a C/W figure near you and if you have a question...........well, I'm here for you!
