CISCO is FOR SALE! We are "asking" $2000 for him, but will consider ALL OFFERS as we need to sell him soon. We just
have no place for a gelding on our breeding farm! He is currently at a friend's house near Buffalo, MO. She has sat on him
a few times while he was being led around, but has an illness in the family, so he's not being trained right now. He is very
gentle and has not offered to buck or anything.
Cisco is a nice little horse and will make a great riding horse and friend. He will be small--he's about 14. to 14.1 now,
as a 3yr. old. He has the personality to make a good kids horse some day.
I had bought him "sight un-seen" as a 2 year old from Tim Conner of Rolling C Appaloosa's in Minnesota with
the understanding he would be my herd STALLION. I could see the minute he arrived he would NOT be that. (He was not at ALL
what he'd been "represented" to be!) I did "test breed" 2 mares,(Li'l Horse, and Windy) just to see, but
I don't expect the foals will live up to my expectations from BEFORE I actually SEEN Cisco!
(I had planned on "test breeding" 3 mares, but the 3rd mare (Sweety) kicked him, and he was gelded a bit sooner
than I had originally planned...)
Cisco does have a right front leg that "turns out" very much, at times. It doesn't bother him at all, but I
don't want to breed that "into my horses". Also, I was told that Cisco does the Indian Shuffle. In the (nearly a)
year that he was here on my farm, I never seen him do anything but trot. My friend in Buffalo "Thinks" she saw him
shuffle "once" but I have my doubts... (However, he does carry the "shuffling genes" so I am HOPING for
a couple of STRAIGHT Legged foals who will shuffle, from him.)
In MY CASE, buying Cisco, (sight unseen) for a BREEDING STALLION, and paying to have him shipped here, etc., was one of
the biggest "rip offs" I've ever had done to me in my horse dealings.
However, that may good for YOU, if you want a LOUD colored, GENTLE, riding gelding at a reasonable price. I am taking
a big loss on him,(purchase price, shipping, vet. bills, gelding, etc.) but he is just of NO USE to me here on the breeding
farm.
If you have any questions please email me. Cisco needs a home soon.
