Veterinary referral:
I have referred my clients and their pets for training to Susan for more years than any other trainer and have had only pleasing reports. Susan's training emphasizes socialization as well as obedience and I directly discovered the benefits of this approach. I have to say that I have been impressed - and I am hard to impress.
- L.A. Schwartz, DVM, Chief of Staff / Overland Veterinary Clinic

Group classes:
Thanks so much for the great course. You exceeded my expectations with your overall knowledge, the time you took preparing each lesson and the individual attention you provided both during class and with any questions we had after class.
- Lisa

I loved the class. You have very good technique, knowledge of dogs, people skills, great patience with our nutty pups...and you're very nice to boot! Your cards are already at my vet's. I've been through several training classes with different trainers and you are among my top recommended, especially for new owners with your average puppy problems. We received knowledge that we can continue using for the rest of our dogs' lives.  - Rachel, dog rescue volunteer

Private training:
As a new puppy owner, I had many questions and concerns about my Cocker Spaniel, Patton. You were fantastic in answering them and in following up with me after each training session by phone and also with a written summary of what we had covered. As you often mentioned, "training is not only for the dog but also the owner". Training established the desired relationship between Patton and me. Now, almost a year later, I have a dog that is obedient and well cared for.
- Matthew Gloin, D.C.

Your strategy and approach were extremely effective in changing some of Sarah's behavioral quirks and we feel that her extreme separation anxiety issues have been substantially reduced. It was an overall pleasure to work with you.
- Dave Rubell, caterer

Riley was a 70 lb Golden Retriever puppy who definitely had a mind of her own. You did an excellent job training her (and me!) and I appreciate that since the lessons, you have given me good advice when I have had any questions. It is a pleasure to recommend you.  - Arlene Slater

After a friend recommended Susan, my wife and I engaged her to train our good-hearted but unruly pug, Olive. Susan not only trained Olive, but she trained us as well, showing us how the greater part of training is consistent follow-through on our part so that Olive will have a fair shot. We heartily recommend Susan's services.   -  Greg Little, writer

The private lessons worked miracles on my terrier Spike - the difference in his behavior is like night and day! The obedience class was also great because Spike had to deal with various distractions - other dogs, people, birds, olive pits!                                      Lauren Meister, market research consultant

Presentation to the West Hollywood Chamber of Commerce Executive Club:
Thank you for your recent advice on what type of dog my parents should purchase. As my parents age and start traveling more, it is even more important that they choose a dog that will not only fit into their lifestyle but one that will be happy in that lifestyle as well.

After your presentation to the Chamber's Executive Club and Member Relations Committee, it was an easy decision to seek your advice. You did a "hot/cold" exercise with 2 people and a clicker, simulating the training process between "trainer" and "dog". The "trainer" learned how precision with directions and timing of praise affected the "dog's" speed of learning; and the "dog" could feel what it was like to receive clear vs unclear prompts from the trainer and how that affected her ability to learn. Then you demonstrated the same exercise with your dog.

Perhaps it was an obvious choice to give you one of the Chamber's coveted Small Business Awards, which honor, acknowledge and thank the small businesses that contribute to the community beyond their doors...those businesses that see the correlation between their success, their neighbors' success and the entire community's success -- the overall State of our City.
- Mindy Bradish, former Executive Director/CEO, West Hollywood Chamber of Commerce
