Students can ask questions at any time.
Labs are generally at the end of the lecture and the instructor will be
available for Q & A and lab assistance after the lecture.

copy if they desire a hard copy. The
course guide contains all the lecture slides and instructor notes, the labs, lab

Oracle SQL Performance Tuning Tips and
Techniques
The focus of this tuning course is to illustrate
coding techniques that insure a consistent response time between instances and
releases of the Oracle database. This
course works closely with performance tuning of actual SQL statements as well as
covering a variety of Oracle Server tuning topics.
This course will cover a variety of SQL statement
tuning issues, controlling the Oracle optimizers, tips and techniques for good
relational/application design to take advantage of Oracle's b-tree indexing
structures, and advanced topics such as Oracle Trace, Stats Pack, and a variety
of parameter settings that make a big difference to Oracle-based applications.
Advanced topics that focuses on monitoring Oracle RDBMS and SQL via
the v$ tables, tracing performance issues from Stats Pack to the actual SQL
causing the issues. This section covers a
variety of Oracle Trace options as well. This course
is packed full of scripts to discover a variety of issues.
