Reading a work in progress is an act of faith, especially an author's first wip, so I thank you for considering going on this ride with me.

I can't promise that you'll love the story-- though, of course, that's what I hope-- but I can promise you that the story will not die unfinished. Updates will be regular and reasonably frequent. No longer than two weeks apart, is the plan.

The rating is PG-13 at the moment, but will likely be R before we're done. If you're looking for NC-17, you probably won't find it here. Writing it makes me giggle.

Timeframe is the present, but without the baggage of seasons seven through nine. Where they are in the relationship, you'll get to figure out right along with Mulder.

I'll be posting only to my own site because I may need to go back and tweak a tiny detail or two, but that's the nature of a wip. When it's finished, anyone who wants to is welcome to archive. Just let me know so I can come visit.

As for the title:

tabula rasa - Etymology: Latin, smoothed or erased tablet. Date: 1607
1 : the mind in its hypothetical primary blank or empty state before receiving outside impressions
2 : something existing in its original pristine state

Why I chose it will become clear shortly.
