This story is a sequel to Tabula Rasa and immediately follows the epilogue. It begins three months after the end of Tabula Rasa, with Mulder on temporary assignment to the BSU. He's being sent to Pennsylvania on a case, and Skinner sends Scully along to keep an eye on him. Skinner trusts him to work alone at Quantico, but not in the field. Wise man.

The case involves a series of brutal rape/murders in a small town, with the bodies being left in a national park. Mulder will be working with another profiler while Scully watches his back and attends to the medical forensics. Their relationship is suffering from the stress of Mulder's struggle to adjust to his new life.

I have the entire story plotted out, right down to the epilogue, so things should move along smartly. The plan is to post every two weeks beginning on November 29th. As with Tabula Rasa, I'll post more often, if possible, but never less often than every two weeks. The story looks to run about fifteen chapters at this point.

The rating is R. For those of you who despise M/O stories, this is not one of those, but it may appear to be in the beginning. Trust me, things will work out. It's also not a character death story, although our boy may suffer some damage along the way.

Anyone who wants to archive the story will have my blessing once it's finished, but please wait until then.
