Why
Ducati ? Because nothing else is like it. Thats
why. A ducati has that certain something that is so very hard to
put into words. Maybe its all of the associated noises. Maybe its
the vibes. I
think that it IS that certain indescribability that makes it unique.
It's something different for everyone. Hey, I guess I am a
romantic after all.
So much has already been considered and written down by people with
far more talent and deeper thought than I so I wont sully the waters
any further.
Hunter Thompson hit the nail on the head with this.
The ducati is most at home in the twisty turnies of any road.
This is what this bike LIVES FOR! It is here in these confines
that it becomes a sharp weapon. Man this machine will
make you anyone you want to be! If you don't come back from a ride
scared silly and / or grinning like an idiot, you must be in a coma.
SERMON:
Take
a safe rider course. I recommend any MSF
course in your home state. Check
the AMA
or the DMV.
Don't take stupid risks. Get a motorcycle license. Get
insurance. Pay attention! Don't be goaded into doing stupid
things. You want to race, go to the track. Remember that
your actions reflect on us all. When you speed by cars at high
velocity all they see is another irresponsible biker. Think
about how your actions will effect the rest of us. If there
is a local crackdown by the man
don't be surprised if it was initiated by the driver of that car.
In short... Don't bring us all down.
END
OF SERMON
Editors note: No!! I am not a hypocrite
but I have learned my lesson the hard
way.
I am
NOT against random acts of hooliganism, but there is a time
and place!
