The goal of the Desert Fish Club is simply to provide a place for all fishkeepers to meet and learn aspects of this wonderful hobby.

The club has open meetings once a month, a bi-annual Fish Auction in April and November as well as other events throughout the year. The club also publishes a newsletter which is distributed to its membership once a month. The newsletter includes reports from the club officers, articles from its members, reprinted articles from other clubs' newsletters and from the internet, and information about upcoming fish events.
