Security is a subject that "wannabe" fulltimers ask about again and again. For some it means personal security,
for others security of the RV itself and its contents. For still others financial security. These articles will
deal with the first two and cover guns in RVs, awareness of where you park, and a variety of security related subjects covering
personal and security of the rig itself and its contents. The issue of guns will be approached with no politics, testosterone,
or bias, as much as that is possible for anybody to cover it.
But the most important thing I hope these articles do is convey the true feeling of the relative lack of danger
out on the fulltimer circuit. Assuming you use some common sense.
We simply live in a different world than the inner city folks who generate much of the crime and fear many take for granted.
The media does much to hype the horrorrific stories with the "if it bleeds, it leads" approach to journalism. The people
you will meet will renew your faith in the basic decency of the many wonderful folks that are the conerstone of North
American culture.
