[4] Prepare a script --- Carry in your mind into any negotiation a reasonable agenda or script, which is developed in terms of objectives, goals, victories to be won! It may be no more than key words and phrases and an objective jotted down on a scrap of paper.

Script writing is not easy. The script is like a storyboard that develops each concept by arranging the key ideas in a logical manner!

A script is a tactic. A good script tells you what you intend to achieve and when you have achieved it. Think of all the possible ways your opponent will react. Then devise appropriate strategies for all the possible reactions. Be brief and to the point.

Make a list of questions and topics you want to pursue in discussions or negotiations. Be prepared to use key words, phrases, and names, while avoiding others. The most important idea to remember in effective communication is knowing how to package your message!
