    The more you find out an employee's real needs, the more effective your motivation efforts will be!

    Only when you --- as a supervisor --- know an employee's true motivation will you be able to meet that person's real needs.

    And only when you meet the real needs of your subordinates will you be able to be the genuine motivating force for that employee! (p92)
