The greatest gift God has given us is life itself, a consciousness and awareness of our BEing alive (see Consciousness). Our true identity is that consciousness, Mind, Love, and as we grow spiritually we become more and more aware that we are the EXPRESSION of that One Mind that IS All That IS.

Just as God is only aware of that Love through our individual expression, we are only aware of our love when we express it. Though we may say "I love YOU" to another, that feeling, knowing and BEing love takes place INSIDE us, in OUR consciousness. The "other" is necessary because when we look at ourselves we only see the story our senses tell us, our past, our her- or his-tory. The "other" reflects the truth of our BEing. When we express our love TO another, s/he also feels the gratitude of love INSIDE, and SHARES the experience, making it more real and powerful (see Sharing).

A Course In Miracles teaches that when we know the nature of love, we MUST extend it because of what it IS. I have found that to be totally true for me. There IS nothing to desire, nothing that provides true happiness, but to see the joy and peace in another when they realize the truth of their BEing through my expression of love. We do not know what we have until we give it away, for we cannot give what we don't possess. Could you give someone a million dollars without having the million to give? Could you give love without having it?

In order to REALIZE (see Realization) that we have unlimited love and are BEings of love, we MUST express it, and we are naturally inclined to do that by the Grace of God. The slightest expression of love, even the small courtesy of letting another car into traffic in front of you, leaves a good feeling INSIDE, encouraging us to do MORE. When we consciously CHOOSE to express love in ALL we say and do, we know it even more. Can you IMAGINE the greatness of love felt by one such as Mother Theresa?

We have had many great teachers show us the way. Lets all join CONSCIOUSLY in our spiritual evolution by making the choice, every moment of every day, to reMEMBER who we are by giving the greatest gift of all, our love, and thereby know the ONE truth of our BEing all that IS.
