Originally from New England, I have been breeding and showing Maines for about 14 years or more. My husband grew up with Maine Coon Cats in Brunswick, Maine. I, on the other hand, was raised with dogs and showed horses outside of Boston, and never appreciated the feline. He was anxious to get a Maine again. Well... the rest is history!

As I fell in love with Maines, I have watched the remarkable rise in popularity to one of the most sought after pedigreed cats in the U.S. And indeed they should be. After all, they are the best. Could there be a question about this?

deGoonacoon has had regional and international winners since 1989. We are a small cattery that takes pride in the temperament and health of our babies. Much time is spent molding their little purrsonalities. I go to sleep with one group and wake up with another. It is nice that they allow me space on their bed.

Although deGoonacoon has winners around the world, we prefer to sell our kittens to pet homes where our kids will continue to be spoiled rotten! (Catnip and caviar, and shrimp on the barbie).

We begin bathing, trimming nails and grooming early on; a kind of "preprogramming," so as to make this part of life easier on both of you.

My cats are routinely checked for Felv/FIV and are all negative. Hearts and hips are tested in order to give you the healthiest Maine that I can. deGoonacoon cats are registered with TICA and CFA. I am a breeder member of MCBFA and on the TICA Maine Coon Breed Committee.

I have always set high standards in my cats and cattery. The kittens are sold with a strict contract. I stress to all my new owners, I am there for you to consult day or night, with any questions. My biggest compliment is when a kitten buyer comes back for another one of my babies. They must have more than one of my deGoonacoon kittens. After all, one is never enough!
