CYCADS THAT I AM GROWING OUTDOORS
Most of my cycads were grown from seed or purchased as small
seedlings and planted mostly as one gallon plants. Some are faster than others but most
seem to grow allot faster in the ground than in pots. The one exception I have found is
Lepidozamia peroffskyana grows much faster in pots than in the ground for me. Most have
been outside or in the ground for at least four years and have not had any problems with
cold except with Cycas sp"blue thai" and Cycas Thouarsii with some spotting
after a cold rain.

I also grow many ferns, Platyceriums (staghorns) grow well for me
and add a really dramatic air to any garden. I am growing the following ferns outside
without any major problems.
