What's new?

Wow, it's been a long time since I updated this thing. It's ugly. Time to fix that.

I've changed this page to be XHTML 1.0 Strict in case anybody cares, and I'm working with a template I borrowed from a fine and intelligent fellow named Andrew Strong. I also cut some stuff that didn't matter and I did you all the favor of removing my picture from the index page. I'll update the rest as I get time.

Hmmm... what else is new...

Well, I finally bought a new computer to replace my aging Pentium 200, and I'm running Ubuntu Linux instead of OS/2. The "Computer" page needs to be either trashed or updated, therefore.

I registered the domain nlphilia.com and its .net and .org variants. I'll be moving my personal page to nlphilia.com soon (I hope) and this page will merely point to that one. The .org domain just points to the .com site.

I've already set up nlphilia.net as an NLP-related blog. Yes... I drank the Internet Kool-Aid... I'm one of those bloggers now. Reminds me of the old George Carlin joke from his album, "What Am I Doing in New Jersey?":

Sometimes I just walk up to people on the street and I shout, "Pardon me, I have nothing to say!"

Oh, and I discovered RSS. You can't really be a blogger unless you read blogs, after all. I'll have to share my feed list with you.
