The amas, the outer hulls, swing down from the vertical
position into a horizontal position that allows the beam and ama to be slipped from the swing post and onto the flange located
on the main beam on the central hull. Assembly is not difficult but a little more complicated than for a typical catamaran.

A closeup of the trailer's ama support tube. The ama's tube fits over this tube on the trailer and
the ama's flange is bolted to the support tube assembly. The tube shown here pivots down, with the ama slipped over it, when
the ama is to be removed for bolting to the boat's main beam, or when reloading the boat.
When reloading the boat
the ama is slipped over this tube in the horizontal position and the ama is lifted up to the vertical position for trailering
as shown in the photo at the top of this page. I weigh 145 lbs and have no trouble lifting or lowering the ama off the tube.
