Oh my. What a roll things have been on this last summer!

I've been working for and hanging out at the Bowery Poetry Club, helping out with their first anniversary party-- which is Monday and Tuesday (9/15 + 9/16). I'll be performing on Monday night with the Butch Morris Poets Chorus. Whee! Oh, and I do the weekly emails for them, so if you sign up for it, you'll get a l'il slice o' me and them each week. Yum!

I also wrote my first journalism article-- it was published on Thursday on AlterNet. Read it here. (on a selfish note aside from the article itself: I got to hang out with Janeane Garofalo during the coverage!)

What else? I've been working on the final re-write of a screenplay with my friend Matt, which has been one of the most enriching and hilarious experiences I've had creatively to date. Matt's my wondertwin. I got to paint my first painting since junior high as part of the process. I can't wait till we produce this thing next year.

What else this summer? I turned 28, I went upstate to my family reunion, I became addicted to Friendster, my cousin Jen got married, I wrote a lotta poetry, I made tons of new friends and found old ones from past lives, and I had a ball, pretty much non-stop. Yippie!
