Welcome graphic

I am a Mixed Media Artist working with Acrylic and Oil Paints, Photography and Drawing to explore new media imagery.  My work can be seen at the Alameda Artworks Studios and at selective galleries and shows in the greater South Bay Area and San Francisco. I have been painting, showing and selling my art in California since 1976.

In my art work, I like to explore the way we see our culture and environment. Incorporated in my vision is the use of iconic contemporary imagery from the media but, although I use my own photography, historical images that remind us about our future. I start with collage and attempt to fuse the images into a final cohesive composition as an acrylic or oil painting.

I am exhibiting 15 new paintings for the Phinney-Greenwood Ave Artwalk in downtown Seattle, Washington, May 18 & 19. This is a continuation of my series on the Images of Old New Orleans, titled "Lost Gardens of New Orleans" to celebrate the spirit of revival and faith of rebuilding the garden anew. This exhibit is dedicated to the memory of my nephew Max Denby.
