Those that love us and support us throughout

our life are called family. Those we turn to with humor,

memories, joy, anger and sorrow  

we also call family. Those who come on

the scene to cause damage after making the choice

to walk away  are called  "toxic".

We may all walk many paths throughout life,

but in the end we are

who we are, flavored by those we love,

those we once loved,

those we will love, and those who love us.

You can always show pictures

to those trying to fill a space  they chose not to share,

but the ones who walked beside you have the real memories.
