Constellation - Cygnus
Distance - an estimated 3,000 light years,Description: This emission nebula lives up to its name. The Pelican Nebula can also be seen to the lower right with the "Pelican" looking toward NGC 7000. This object can be seen through binoculars as a milky patch east of the star Deneb in Cygnus.

Image Acquisition Software: N/A,
Image Processing: All data frames were scanned at 4000 dpi with a Polaroid Sprint Scan 4000 then registered and stacked with Picture Window Pro. Final processing, which included application of a gradient mask, and re-sampling for web publication was performed with Photoshop 5.0.
