CCD Imaging:
I have been using a 6.25 inch classical Newtonian for CCD imaging since December 2001. The optical tube is a Takahashi MT-160 and has a focal length of 1000 mm with a f-ratio of 6.3. I use the Santa Barbara Instrument Group ST-7E NABG CCD camera. I have been very happy with the results with this little telescope. The focal length matches the SBIG ST-7's chip very well. The picture below shows the MT-160 optical tube with the CCD camera attached. The Astro-Physics 900 GTO mount is guided by the SBIG STV through a 102 mm Celestron spotting scope.
35 mm Photography:
I use a Takahashi Epsilon 160 f/3.3 astrograph for wide field CCD imaging and 35 mm color photography.
