This website is your central class management location.
Nearly everything you'll need to succeed in this class---in addition to your own efforts and your active participation in
the classroom---can be found on this site each week. Be sure to check the site for changes and additions as the
course unfolds throughout the quarter.
Take some time to familiarize yourself with the site, check
out the assignments, journaling questions, links, and other pages, and don't forget to bookmark the address or add it to your
favorites list for easy weekly retrieval.
The basic navigation bar is at the top of every page, and
a secondary navigation list is at the bottom of each page. Other links to pages not in the nav bar are found in the
right side column.

No Monitors Outside
Due to the experiential nature of this course, and the potential for highly sensitive
or confidential disclosures in class regarding personal losses as well as clients’ griefs, classroom discussions cannot
be broadcast by use of monitors in the hallways.
The instructor is aware of the burden this puts on students with infants. Students who do not have child care during this class time, and who need this course to graduate from the
Naturopathic Midwifery program in 2008 are advised to speak with the instructor or the Naturopathic Midwifery program chair prior
to the end of the first week of the quarter.

Adherence to Bastyr Policies
Students in this course are expected
to adhere to the published Bastyr University Policies on Children in Classroom, Disabilities, Cheating, and Plagiarism, all
of which are found in the Student Handbook. In addition, although students should
be generally aware of the established university policies on retake and make-up exams, there are no exams planned for this
course in the 2007-2008 year.

Inclement Weather Policy
If classes are cancelled due to inclement weather or other campus closures, we will "meet" by website
and email. Students are required to check the website for instructions and substitute
readings or assignments prior to the next scheduled class meeting. If classes
are cancelled but we/you have power, these instructions and substitutions will likely be posted by the regularly scheduled
class time.
