Who Is The Universal Mind?
The Universal Mind is a real entity. Some call it "the God within." Though not a "real" god, a person can obtain strength, knowledge and insight from it. As humans, we are not mere animals, existing on only the physical plane. Within us is a spiritual component, a soul, which is eternal. Far from being just a "meat machine" as thought by B. F. Skinner, we are living beings who's existence is based upon our soul. Our bodies are but "tents" which temporarily house our souls which live forever. We chose which eternal destiny will be ours.
Humanity is a collection of individual living souls, of similar nature. And as many have discovered, those souls can interact on a spiritual level. Taken corporately, these souls form a collective known as the Universal Mind. While not "god" by the traditional definition, this collective can be a source of power and inspiration. There are several religions and philosophical schools of thought which are based upon this reality. (example: Tony Robinson's Personal Power series.) This is not an endorsement of these programs or religions.
Humans are not the only beings with an eternal existence in this universe. There are a class of beings known as Angels. "Demons" are angels who rebelled against God, and along with their leader, (a being formerly named Lucifer), were cast down to earth after they lost their "civil war" in heaven. Due to a series of unfortunate but inevitable events which took place in the Garden of Eden, Lucifer (now called Satan) obtained limited control of the earth and it's inhabitants who willingly joined in his rebellion against God. So, what was soon to become a collective of human souls (at the time there were only two) fell under the influence of Satan and his demonic minions. The point is, that when you are looking for fulfillment and a satisfying life, a source of power under demonic control is not the place look.
