It isn't popular to say there is absolute truth. But reality is not defined by one's perception and truth is not relative. If it were, it wouldn't be real truth. It is either true or it is not. An action or behavior is either right or wrong. Morality is absolute and is independent of our opinions and culture; nor does it change over time. All humans except for one, have done things that are not right. All humans, except for one, were born separated from God due to the actions of their father Adam and their mother Eve. That exception to the rule was Jesus Christ who lived a perfect and sinless life.

There is a punishment we owe for the things we have done wrong. It is a debt so great we cannot pay it. Which is why God had mercy upon us and paid that penalty for us. It has been said that Jesus paid a debt he did not owe because we owed a debt we could not pay. That debt is called sin. The word "sin" comes from an ancient word which means "insanity". And it is truly insane to follow after sin, since it causes so much hurt, pain, emptiness and desolation.

Is Jesus the Only Way? WHY?!?!? At many times and under many circumstances Jesus said he was the only way to God. Jesus himself said that He was the Messiah that Jewish prophets had long foretold of. For this claim he was to eventually be crucified. But that was the reason He came to earth. It was no surprise and no defeat. That was his intention: To be the sacrificial lamb of God that would take away the sins of the world. Three days later, he did something no other prophet or guru or teacher ever did: he rose from the dead.

Roman executioners, who were quite expert in the business of torture and killing, crucified Jesus. When a spear was thrust into Jesus' side, coagulated blood and water came out. He was later taken down from the cross and placed in a tomb which was sealed and guards were posted since it was rumored that he promised he would rise from the dead. That promise came true and Jesus rose from the dead and appeared to literally hundreds and hundreds of witnesses.

Jesus has the power not only to rise from the dead but to raise us from the dead as well. He has the power to change our lives and to rescue us from eternal death and separation from God. He can give us a life worth living, forgiveness for our sins, and can wash away our guilt.

Here's How:

It's not a religion, it's a relationship!!! God wants to have a personal relationship with you. But God is a gentleman and won't force His way into your life. You have to ask Him to come into your life. Praying is just talking to God. Remember who you are talking to, after all, He is God, so a certain amount of respectfulness is in order. But, don't go overboard, God wants you to be able to call him "daddy", He loves you unconditionally and is devoted to you, but you still don't want to be rude. That's known as presumption.

1. Recognize that you have done things which are wrong. Admit that to God and let him know you are genuinely sorry for what you have done. And that you want to change-to stop doing the wrong things and that you want to start doing the right things. Ask God to forgive you for what you have done. The fancy terms for these actions are "confessing your sins" and "repenting" which means to turn away from the things you are doing wrong.

2. Ask Jesus to come into your life, to re-make your soul (that's being "born again") and to cleanse you from all unrighteousness. (That's all the bad stuff you've done, thought etc.) Again, it's important to give God permission to change your heart and life. Jesus promises to come into the hearts and lives of anyone who genuinely asks. And God does know if we are sincere. God knows if we are putting on a show for a girl or boyfriend. It doesn't matter who you can fool or impress, because God knows everything that's in your heart and you cannot lie to Him. He is definitely unimpressed over those who just go through the motions. Mean what you pray.

3. Thank God for rescuing you from eternal death in Hell. Because Hell is quite real and you don't want to go there. It's a place of darkness, suffering, torment and pain without release. Thank God for forgiving you, and washing all the stain of your sins away. If you meant what you prayed, no matter what, you are safe in God's hands and have eternal life. It is nice to get baptized sometime down the road, but that is not necessary for your salvation. The Bible says we should get baptized, but that's not what saves you. All "hairsplitting" aside, baptism is a neat experience. It doesn't matter if your are dunked, sprayed or sprinkled, all sorts of methods are taught in the Bible and they all are right. Its just what your personal preference may be.

4. It's very important to read your Bible and to pray every day. You wouldn't even consider eating food just once a week, and the Bible is your spiritual food which you need every day to sustain your spiritual growth.

5. Find a church which believes in the Bible and what it teaches. Is the church devoted to God or into other things? If they are all barking like dogs or doing weird gyrations or something, quietly sneak out the back and never return. That's some weird cult like thing and not a real Bible believing church at all. Run for the hills!

6. If you have questions or need some advice feel free to email me and I'll do my best reply with fairly reasonable response. I'll do my best to relate what the Bible teaches, but I am human after all! Unlike some false teachers out there who claim to be "inerrant" or some so-called "holy oracle of god" (yeah, right!) I can and will make mistakes so please check everything ANYONE says against what the Bible teaches. Remember to ask God for help and guidance. He has a plan just for you that He wants to show you. So get busy! It's exciting discovering what God has for us!!!!  Hope to hear from you!
