Music. No game would be complete with out it.

Firstly, Music submissions should be original compositions. And all MUST be available royalty free to the public domain.

Music submissions are preferred in the .mid (midi) format as it helps to keep the releases small. However .mp3s are acceptible if the file size is reasonable. Mp3s should be submitted to the contest at a bit rate of no higher that 128kBits.

If an .mp3 file is selected as a winner, it may be downsampled a little to help keep the DC release size reasonable.
