Coach Pike Comments:

We continue to perform well as we aproach the regional. Freddie Kirkland and Michael Bailey are not only performing at a very high level but are doing it with consistency. While injuries have forced us to change relay lineups, the 4x100 and 4x200 teams both brought home medals. Eric Aten continues to mature as a vaulter, once again topping ten feet. Abram McCoy returned to the lineup seeing limited action but earning 5th place in the 100m in a very strong field with sprinters from Portage Northern and Ypslanti breaking the 10 second barrier. Our goals for this week are to get healthy and focus on technique work so that our jv athletes have a chance to excel in the Jackson JV Invitational on Wednesday, and our Varsity athletes have an outstanding regional on Saturday at Lowell.
