Who is Adolphus?  (I bet that’s going to be on the test!!)

Chapters 31-32

2

Check study guides (second check).

Chapters 33-34

3

How and why are we returning to the romantics?  Will it work?  Why won’t Huck take action against it?  So many questions…

Chapters 35-36

4

Working on the structure of body paragraphs

Chapters 37-38

5

Be sure to bring your last essay to class with you today.  You will need it as you plan your second in class essay.  Really, you will be a ta HUGE disadvantage if you don’t bring it with you.

Finish book by Tuesday (it’s only five chapters, stop whining!)

6/7

8

Writing in class.  Bring your outline and your quotes.

9

Don’t forget chapter 12.  Who was that dead man in the cabin and why wouldn’t Jim let Huck look?

10

Book finished

11

Turn in completed study guides today.

Test Adventures of huckleberry Finn A lovely combination of multiple choice and short answer.

12

Begin review for exam.  The very site you are on now is the best source for your review work.  All of our plans from August on are still posted.

13/14

15

Finish review.

Finals week!  Keep studying!

Here's the extra credit project: Create a scrapbook for Huck from the novel. Include pictures (you can draw them, take them or cut them out of magazines), at least one newspaper article that you write about one of his adventures ("Boy Disappears From Finn's Cabin") and include some kind of souvenir. Anything else can be of your choosing. You must have at least fifteen chapters represented in some way, shape or form. Good luck. Due on January 12 - just to give you a little bit of extra time to play with the project.

Finish up the ends of our news shows.

Presentations finally begin tomorrow!

2

Presentations.  We should finish all acts today, but..

3

Just in case, we’ll leave a little of today for the last one.

Essay question on tomorrow’s test:  Who is the tragic hero in this play?  You have a couple of choices.  You MUST include Aristotle’s poetics in your response (look in your notes – you have the information).  We will be writing an outline in class today – you may bring it with you to class tomorrow, but the essay must be written in class.
