Coach Pike Comments:
Things are really coming together as the team continues to
improve in nearly every event. Miguel Sanchez and Jon Gundry ran
with termendous confidence, especially for such young runners
as they raced to victory in the 3200 and 1600 respectively. The
depth of the sprint group became apparent as they captured 12
of the 14 possible places in the 100, 200, and 400. Josh Thomas
and Freddie Gallaoway both ran their best races of the year on
their way to a 1-2 finish in the High Hurdles. If we continue
to improve, as we have in nearly every area, we should be very
competitive as we enter the championship phase of the season.
