Golgonooza Letter Foundry & Press was created and is operated by Julia Ferrari and Dan Carr.
They have been working for many of the most demanding publishers in the United States and Europe for 25 years. They design,
compose, and print fine books using metal types cast in their foundry. They have expanded their capabilities to include hand
binding and also designing, cutting by hand, and founding award winning new metal types for publishers.
"Carr and Ferrari named their business 'Golgonooza' after the mythological city in William Blake's prophetic poem 'The
Four Zoas,' where one of the chief figures, or zoas, in the poem lives in the city of Golgonooza, the city of the imagination,
and works at forging the hearts and souls of living beings. . . . Golgonooza is the city of transformation through art ..."

Above you can click the link to download a PDF of their Typelist which shows all of their typefaces. Golgonooza will also
do composition of books and ship type to publishers who wish to print their own. Clients submit a manuscript with specifications
to receive an estimate (estimates are subject to change, based on the actual amount of time and materials a project entails).
Arrangements can be made (subject to minimums orders), to cast type for cases, as well. All work is usually scheduled in advance
for four to six weeks, due to custom casting.
Golgonooza looks forward to making your book project the finest that can be, using the most refined types available: metal
type cast exclusively for your project. No one seriously disputes that metal types are proven to be the most elegant, carefully
designed and accurately made types in the history of printing. Come back to the best of what beautiful printing has to offer
to a connoisseur of fine design.
