Bodie was a California mining town, founded in the latter 1800s after gold and silver were found. East of Yosemite National
Park and north of Mono Lake in the Eastern Sierra, it's an easy drive to what is now a California State Park. 250,000 visitors
a year come to see the town.
If you're a photographer, Bodie offers exciting views both of the town and inside the old buildings. These are some from
my 2004 visit.
