Jesus, I Trust in You!

"Jesus Christ taught that man not only receives and experiences the mercy of God, but that he is also called 'to practice mercy' toward others.  'Blessed are the merciful, for they shall obtain mercy.' (Mt 5:7).  The Church sees in these words a call to action, and she tries to practice mercy.  ...Man attains to the merciful love of God.  His mercy, to the extent that he himself is interiorly transformed in the spirit of that love towards his neighbor."

John Paul II, Rich in Mercy, 14

Attitude and Perception

There once was a woman who woke up one morning, looked in the mirror and noticed she had only three hairs on her head.  "Well,"  she said, "I think I'll braid my hair today."  So she did and had a wonderful day.

The next day she woke up, looked in the mirror and saw that she had only two hairs on her head.  "Hmm,"  she said, "I think I'll part my hair down the middle today."  So she did and she had a grand day.

The next day she woke up, looked in the mirror and noticed that she only had one hair on her head.  "Well," she said, "Today, I'm going to wear my hair in a ponytail."  So she did and she had a fun, fun day.

The next day she woke up, looked in the mirror and noticed that there wasn't a single hair on her head.  "YEAH!" she exclaimed, "I don't have to fix my hair today!"

Attitude and Perception are everything.  Be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle.  Life may not be the party we hoped for … but while we are here, we might as well dance!
